British cruisers, get ready to tuck into something special at sea – Marella Cruises has just unveiled its latest onboard dining concept, Piccadilly’s, a modern British gastropub experience now launching across the entire fleet. From June 2025, guests will be able to enjoy this new addition as part of the cruise line’s all-inclusive dining offering, delivering even more variety and comfort onboard.
As the third new dining venue to debut in Marella’s main restaurant rotation, Piccadilly’s promises a relaxed yet elevated experience centred around much-loved British classics – all with a contemporary twist. Think comforting, nostalgic dishes reimagined with flair, served in a stylish setting designed to evoke that quintessential “home from home” feel.
A New Era of British Pub Dining at Sea
Once upon a time, British pub grub was little more than chicken in a basket and soggy chips. But not anymore. The UK’s gastropub scene has flourished in recent years, with even Michelin-starred chefs bringing their culinary expertise to rustic locals and countryside boozers. Marella’s new concept channels this trend, celebrating the nation’s proud food culture while giving it a creative, cruise-worthy makeover.
“We are pleased to be launching this latest innovative concept restaurant onboard all of our ships,” said Luke Saunders, Food and Drink Development Manager at Marella Cruises. “After a successful trial across a couple of ships, we have seen great appetite for a range of hearty British favourites – from elegant desserts to comforts that taste like home. We can’t wait to see our customers’ reactions to this new restaurant concept.”
